New Beginnings

2024 marked the ten year anniversary of PaperGiant.

Founded in 2014 by Chris and Reuben, PaperGiant set out to be a new kind of design agency—one focused on strategic and service design, technology literate but solution agnostic, and grounded in creative and pragmatic research.

Over ten years of impact, PaperGiant has:

Completed 450+ client projects
Employed over 150 permanent and casual staff
Advised an incredible mix of governments, ASX200 companies, not-for-profits and global corporations

With a decade of advisory work under our belt, we've felt it's time to expand our services into digital transformation so that we're able to partner with clients deeper into their journeys of change.

New Leadership Team

Dr. Chris Marmo (centre) is joined by new directors Peter Gill (left) and Remon Gazal (right).

To support our new direction, we're announcing the addition of two new company directors.

Peter Gill is a corporate lawyer (np) and advisor with over twenty years’ experience, with a passion for innovation in social services. As managing director of Tilda Living, an NDIS housing provider, he has a deep understanding of how human-centred approaches to service delivery can make fundamental improvements to people's lives.

Remon Gazal is a seasoned global executive and experienced board member with deep experience and expertise in commercial strategy, digital transformation and the start-up ecosystem through-out Asia Pacific and North America.

Peter and Remon join co-founder and CEO Dr. Chris Marmo on PaperGiant's board and will assist Chris to drive new client partnerships.

Good Design Awards

PaperGiant was please to bring home two Good Design awards at this year's ceremony.

The MARAM Maturity model took out 'Gold' in the new Policy Design category.

MARAM Maturity Model

Partnering with Family Safety Victoria (FSV), we designed a new organisational maturity model and toolkit that helps family safety services engage the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) Framework, which regulates reporting and referral of family violence, in Victoria.

The Framework has been designed to help organisations address critical issues and gaps identified in the provision of family violence services.

FSV engaged us to create a maturity model that would to support prescribed organisations to identify and measure their progress against benchmarks.

We are pleased that this work took out a Gold award in the new category of 'Policy Design'.

We helped the Aged Care regulator understand how to better engage with the sector.

Improving outcomes for elder Australians in Aged Care

How can we enhance the safety, health and quality of life for older Australians? Paper Giant helped the Aged Care Quality & Safety Commission understand and visualise the current customer experience. Based on the findings, we designed a Future State Blueprint and Guiding Principles to help the sector better serve elder Australians.

This project won an award in the 'Service Design' category.
